Hello November!
November is here, can you believe it?! We are so excited for what's in store this month! This month we have a NEW series we will be going over called "A Thankful Heart." In this series we will learn the Power of Thankfulness, the Fruit of Thankfulness, the Attitude of Thankfulness and the Promise of Thankfulness. We also have lots of fun events coming up this month, check those out below!
NOVEMBER EVENTS:
November 3rd- Bunco Night from 6-8pm! Bring a snack to share, ALL are welcome!
November 5th- JERSEY SUNDAY and Fellowship on the Patio! Wear your favorite Jersey and join us in between services for Fellowship on the Patio. There will be food, fellowship and fun!
Note: This is also the day when we will be moving our 11am service to the MPR room (behind the Baptismal).
November 17th- Fun Friday! Join us at 6pm for a Thanksgiving meal brought to you by our City Group members and a Family movie night!
November 18th- Young Adults "You CAN Give Hope" can drive. Join the Young Adults as we walk the surrounding church neighborhood collecting cans for a can drive and inviting the neighbors to Pie on the Patio!
November 19th-Pie on the Patio! Bring a pie and join us on the patio in between services to enjoy a slice, or two, or three!
November 26th- Love Your Church Day! After Sunday services join us in bringing out all of our Christmas Decorations and organizing them.
Hope City Kids- Infants to 5th Grade during 9am Service
Toddlers and Pre-K- "The Big Picnic"-In this unit, kids will learn that no matter how big their problems are, God is bigger! They can trust God to take care of their problems with His big, strong power.
Elementary-"Harvesting Gratitude"- A series about appreciating God’s blessings. This study will help children recognize, understand and express gratitude for blessings that God has given them in their everyday lives. It will guide them on a journey of discovery and appreciation for all the good things in their lives.
HC Youth - Every Wednesday | 6:30p
With Thanksgiving around the corner, we will be looking at the ways we are #blessed. We will read Matthew 5 and take a look at the beatitudes. Each week, we will unpack 3 beatitudes and go over them.
Young Adults - Every Monday | 7pm
In this Thanksgiving season at Young Adults, our study is "I'm Hungry." We will dive into the bible together as we learn how to be Hungry for Prayer, and Hungry for The Word. Also join us on 11/20 for our annual Friendsgiving- bring a dish to share enjoy a meal with us!
November 18th the Young Adults will gather at the church at 9am, break into teams and walk the neighborhood asking for canned food donations and inviting the neighborhood to join our Pie on The Patio after Sunday's service on the 19th. You CAN give hope and join us too as we go out to renew the hope in our city through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
